Review of the iTeknic IK-BH005 Active Noise Canceling Headphones From Walter Shillington

Walter Shillington

Walter Shillington writes about products he is familiar with. His articles focus on healthcare, electronics, watches and household items.

A few months back, I reviewed iTeknic’s IK-BH002 ANC headphone. It was a well-built device, making use of recent advances in both Bluetooth and battery technology. I particularly liked the active noise canceling feature and always carry this headset when traveling by air.

Iteknic has recently introduced a new device of this type, designating it the IK-BH005. Over the following article, I will compare the two headsets, explaining the changes and examining the benefits—if any—of purchasing the new device rather than the old.

Description

The iTeknic IK-BH005 weighs in at 291 grams and, due to the inclusion of ear cushions designed to cover the entire ear, makes use of passive noise resistance. When the headphone’s carrying case and accessories are included, total weight works out to 504 grams.

Its speaker cups can swivel up to 90 degrees and pivot slightly to provide a comfortable fit and allow compact storage. Both right and left arms adjust to conform to the size of the wearer’s head.

The right speaker cup is equipped with a volume control, an on/off/pairing button, microphone, 3.5-millimeter input, and a switch which activates active noise canceling. There are also LEDs used to signal a Bluetooth connection and confirm that ANC is activated. A mini USB input, fitted to the left speaker cup, is used when charging the device.

The microphone is of the cVc 6 (clear Voice capture) variety. Noise reduction algorithms reduce ambient sound and enhance the voice of the caller.

This headset is equipped with a 500mAH lithium rechargeable battery. According to the manufacturer, operating time ranges between 20 hours when communicating via a smartphone, and 30 hours while listening to music. The battery can be fully charged within 45 minutes via a USB connection.

The kit includes a headset, a 3.5-millimeter auxiliary cable, airplane adaptor, charging cable, guide, and a padded carrying case.

The Manufacturer

Iteknic is trademarked by Shenzhen NearbyExpress Technology Development Company Limited which is a division of the Sunvalley Group.

Sunvalley was founded in 2007 and is the brand owner of RAVPower, VAVA, TaoTronics, Anjou, Sable, and HooToo. This company is headquartered in Shenzhen, China, and has subsidiaries located in San Francisco, Tokyo, Singapore, and Hamburg.

Bluetooth

This headset is Bluetooth 5.0 capable but compatible with earlier versions. It paired with both my computer and MP3 player quickly and without complications. Due to the inclusion of a microphone, the headset can also be used with a smartphone.

The theoretical maximum distance for Bluetooth 5.0 is 240 meters (800 feet). During my tests, however, both my computer and MP3 player were equipped with Bluetooth 4.1 transmitters which, unfortunately, have a much lesser range.

While listening to music transmitted from my computer, the reception of devices of this type generally began to cut in an out as I wander into the kitchen. This is because the signal is obstructed by two outside walls and heavy appliances such as my fridge and stove. Happily, the IK-BH005 proved to be the exception.

Reception did degrade as I entered the front porch which is situated at the far end of the building and, again, separated by a main wall. This distance corresponds with the device’s rated range of 33 feet.

Noise Canceling

There are two types of noise canceling systems utilized in conjunction with headsets. Passive noise reduction involves the use of materials in the ear cushions that deaden outside sounds. This technique is useful; however, the most effective packing materials are very dense, adding extra weight to the device.

The iTeknic IK-BH005 also makes use of Hybrid Active Noise Canceling. When activated, the headset’s microphones monitor outside noises. Then the IK-BH005 creates sound waves that mimic the incoming noise in every respect except one: the headphone’s output is 180 degrees out of phase with the intruding waves.

Normally the microphone monitor is placed either outside the earcup (feedforward ANC) or inside the earcup (feedback ANC). Iteknic utilizes a hybrid system which includes both types of active noise cancelation. This incorporates the benefits of each method while minimizing their disadvantages.

It works great for air flow, fans, and engine noise because these sounds are constant. If the intrusion is sudden or varying, however, compensation will not prove adequate. When I activated the IK-BH005’s ANC system, it negated the sound of my fridge’s compressor as well as that of my furnace’s blower, the robotic vacuum, and the air conditioner in my office. When I ran my dryer, I could not hear the motor, but there was a faint clicking as wet clothing bounced against the inside of the appliance. In this instance, the device’s passive noise reduction also proved useful. Please note that active noise canceling systems are ineffective at muffling human voice. If your husband is singing boisterously in the shower, the IK-BH005 can offer only passive noise reduction. Sadly, it will not be enough.

Test Results

I wore the headset while playing games, listening to music, and watching Netflix. It can also be paired with a Bluetooth-capable smartphone.

Sound quality proved excellent, and I was especially impressed by the bass response and clarity. The older headset also exhibited good frequency response but was not quite so crisp and clear.

While I prefer earbuds because of their light weight, both headsets from iTeknic could be worn for long periods without discomfort. The IK-BH005 is fitted with thicker protein earpads than the older model. These covered my earlobes more completely and provided additional comfort.

During a three-day test period, with the volume level set to 69%, this headset performed well for over 29 hours before requiring a recharge. This represents excellent battery life.

The IK-BH005’s active noise canceling system is the most effective I have tested and, because the foam cushions fully covered my ears, passive noise reduction is also good.

Fit and finish are excellent. I found no problems related to quality control.

About Bluetooth V5.0 Technology

Bluetooth 5.0 is the latest version of the Bluetooth wireless communication standard. It’s commonly used for wireless headphones and other audio hardware, as well as wireless keyboards, mice, and game controllers. Bluetooth is also used for communication between various smart home and Internet of Things (IoT) devices.

A new version of the Bluetooth standard means various improvements, but only when used with compatible peripherals. In other words, you won’t see any immediate benefit from upgrading to a phone with Bluetooth 5.0 if all your Bluetooth accessories were designed for an older version of Bluetooth. Bluetooth is backwards compatible, however, so you can continue using your existing Bluetooth 4.2 and older devices with a Bluetooth 5.0 phone. And, when you buy new Bluetooth 5.0-enabled peripherals, they’ll work better thanks to your Bluetooth 5.0 phone.

Bluetooth 5.0 also enables a cool new feature that allows you to play audio on two connected devices at the same time. In other words, you could have two pairs of wireless headphones connected to your phone, and them stream audio to both of them at once, all via standard Bluetooth. Or you could play audio on two different speakers in different rooms. You could even stream two different audio sources to two different audio devices at the same time, so two people could be listening to two different pieces of music, but streaming from the same phone.

These $59.99 wireless noise canceling headphones are perfect for coworking spaces and commutes

I love me a pair of audiophile-grade headphones as much as the next gearhead, but I’m also passionate about commute-friendly products that don’t cost the earth and can take a beating on the road. That’s why I was excited to try iTeknic’s new BH002 headphones, which bring an over-the-ear design and active noise canceling (ANC) tech to the table for just $59.99.

You might not have heard of this Shenzhen, China-based brand before, but you may know its sister labels, Ravpower, TaoTronics, HooToo, and Vava; they’re all under a hardware company called Sunvalleytek, and we’ve liked many of the products we’ve reviewed from these brands in the past.

We’ve tested a bunch of similar cans before, and I’m happy to report that even though this is one of the cheapest we’ve tried, they’re easy to recommend – regardless of the fact that they’re dirt cheap. Here’s what you get for your money.

Design

This pair is as utilitarian as headphones get, and you won’t find luxury materials or even much metal on here. Instead, the headband is mostly plastic, and the padding and earcups are covered in synthetic fabrics. That said, they look good, and the package feels solid overall. The exterior design with minimal branding reminds me a lot of Sony’s popular WH-1000XM3 headphones, and they have nice metallic panels on the outside of the earcups that add a subtle touch of flair.

The earcups fold flat and inwards, so they’re easy to store or pack away into the included compact case. The headphones come in at about 277g – a bit more than Bose’s QC35 at 235g and the 254g WH-1000XM3, both of which are around $300 – but the weight is distributed well enough that they don’t feel uncomfortable even after wearing them for a couple of hours at a stretch. So while these aren’t exactly a premium choice, they’re great for a sub-$100 pair.

Features

The BH002 set has a bunch of things going for it: active noise cancellation that works without a wireless connection, a 3.5mm jack for a wired connection when you’ve forgotten to charge it, Bluetooth 5.0 for quick and reliable pairing, a middling mic for calls, volume controls, and quick charging over microUSB so you can get about 15 hours of use by powering up for just an hour.

Not bad for under 60 bucks, eh?

Performance

First off, these headphones punch above their weight class. They’re a bit heavy on the bass, and as such, they’re better suited for rock, metal, and pop. It reproduces details well enough, but the diminutive sound stage doesn’t allow for much separation between instruments – so don’t expect to pick out many nuances in soulful vocal performances and subtleties in orchestral musicians’ playing.

The noise cancellation works as you’d expect on budget headphones: they’ll block out most low-frequency din, but you’ll still be able to hear honking cars and snatches of loud conversation in close proximity. As for the mic, it’s serviceable for making voice calls, but just barely. Even when you’re in a quiet room, you’ll sound like you’re on speakerphone. That means it’s okay for the occasional brief chat, but certainly not for communicating with your teammates in a round of Counter-Strike.

While the BH-002 certainly won’t beat out other headphones that are tuned for high fidelity audio, they sound good enough that I don’t mind using them as my secondary pair at work. The battery also lasted me several hours on an hour’s charge as advertised, and that means you can leave your cables behind. I’m also happy to report that these pair without a fuss, so you don’t have to fumble with the buttons for very long before you can start enjoying your tunes and podcasts.

Who are these for?

I honestly believe anyone who shares a workspace, or commutes frequently, could benefit from owning a pair of noise-canceling headphones. I previously recommended this similarly-priced pair from Jam Audio, but I like iTeknic’s offering a lot more. They’re far more comfortable for extended listening sessions, they come with a case, and they charge quickly.

That makes the BH-002 a great starter set for people looking to try ANC gear for the first time. If you like these, you can always upgrade to better sounding headphones from the likes of Bose and Sony when your first pair wears out.

Remember how I said these were dirt-cheap? You can actually score 20 percent off the $59.99 price tag using the coupon code U2B97NA6 on Amazon US, and HEADFONE20OF on Amazon UK. That brings the price down to just $45 and £48 respectively – an excellent deal, if you ask me.

If you’d like to look at some alternatives, consider some of the other ANC headphones we’ve enjoyed in this general price range, like this one from TaoTronics for $70, and this other one from Anker at $99.

iTeknic IT-BH001 Bluetooth Stereo Headphones Review

The Bluetooth technology has become commonplace long ago, and due to the advantages it brings, it’s quite affordable to cut the cord. Nowadays, people are switching to wireless earphones because there is a trend of removing all the openings on the smartphones. Previously, several manufacturers have removed the 3.5mm audio hack from their devices, replacing it with the USB Type-C port, which can serve for charging, data transfer, and audio output. Moreover, wireless headphones are more comfortable to wear. Especially, it’s preferred by commuters, sports enthusiasts, and anyone who wants to enjoy a little music without being physically tethered to their phone. Of course, we remember there was a time when the convenience of wireless headphones came at the expense of sound quality. But we should state those days are gone. Nowadays, it wouldn’t cost you anything to get your hands on an inexpensive pair of earbuds and still be pleased with the sound. The iTeknic IT-BH001 is such a product.

In the last days of 2018, the manufacturer announced the iTeknic IT-BH001 as great wireless headphones that is capable of providing up to 24 hours playback. But agree there are tons of Bluetooth earphones with a similar description on the market. So why you should choose the iTeknic IT-BH001 and what other highlighted selling points does it come with? In this review, we’ll be taking this product for a spin. After taking a look at its design and key features, we’ll help you decide if these affordable buds would make a good addition to your next workout.

iTeknic IT-BH001 Design

As you understand, these aren’t ‘genuine-wireless’ earphones. We mean there is still a single cable that connects one bud to the other. This cable sits comfortably on your neck, and there is also a three-button inline controller for remote control.

In fact, the cable is thick enough to be durable. At the same time, it’s thin enough not to get easily tangled up. We also can find a rubber grommet at each end. They prevent the cable from fraying or the insulation from cracking.

As for the earbuds, they have a modern look. The black coating is smooth. They are also very compact, and don’t rest against the cartilage of your ear. Instead, they use a combination of rubber wings and ear tips to support themselves.

If you have used Bluetooth headphones ever, you should know they are heavier than the traditional headphones. It’s because they have batteries, receivers, and electronic hardware that add weight. These all may cause an inconvenience when long wearing. But due to the wings in the buds that fit up inside your outer ear and rest against the cartilage. You can complain, saying everyone’s ears are different. But the iTeknic IT-BH001 box includes two other pairs of wings.

These headphones have the IPX4 certification, which means that it is rated to resist splashes from water (but not be submersed in water). Sweat or rain drizzle won’t be a concern.

iTeknic IT-BH001 Sound Quality

Honestly, the design of the iTeknic IT-BH001 Bluetooth Stereo Headphones is good. Nothing special, but also it comes with a trendy look. However, when buying a new pair of headphones, you should not only pay attention to the appearance but to the sound quality as well. Actually, our protagonist provides good quality. But how good is it? We are not going to say these headphones provide the best quality. We are saying that it’s way better than many other products on the market, even costing more.

Say, the bass is perfectly balanced. Regardless of the fact what kind of music we were listening to, these headphones kept up. As for the mid-range and treble, the definition and clarity stood out. The iTeknic IT-BH001 is not the type of earbuds that you put on and think it’s the best headphones you have ever seen. In fact, they are middle of the road, and there is no singular element that stands out from every other pair of headphones on the market. But if you ask to describe them in a couple of words, we’d say they are well tuned and proficient.

iTeknic IT-BH001 Functionality

If the appearance and sound quality are the most important features when buying wired headphones, it’s not so for the Bluetooth headphones. As for the latter, the most important feature is the battery life. No one is asking for the headphones that will last forever, but if the battery is dead after two hours, you should think of buying a new pair. The iTeknic IT-BH001 can provide up to 24 hours of playback. And this is not written on paper only. When tested, they provided identical performance.

They charge using any standard Micro-USB cable. Of course, the manufacturer has included one into the box. But there is no charging head. So you can use your phone charger in a pinch. To fully charge, it takes about two hours. But again, this is the first Bluetooth neckband headphones providing up to 24 hours of playback on a single charge.

The next noteworthy feature is the inline controller. On a basic level, this provides some navigation through your music library. Long hold the volume up button, and you can skip forward. Long press the volume down, and you’ll skip backwards. As you can guess, the third button serves to start and stop your music, and can also be used to answer calls. The manufacturer has also added a compact omnidirectional microphone in the remote, which makes hands-free calling way easier. This is one of the features that impressed us most. It’s very high quality, and produces a clear voice recording thanks to its build-in noise cancelation.

The back of the earbuds are magnetic. So when place them together, they’ll hold firmly. This allows you to keep them around your neck, even when they’re not in your ears.

What is Bluetooth 5.0?

Many talking about the iTeknic IT-BH001, forget to mention one of its key features. They support Bluetooth 5, which not only allows for wireless connectivity but also comes with a number of upgrades over the previous versions. Unfortunately, to completely use its advantages, the phone that is paired with, should have Bluetooth 5.0 as well. In other words, your smartphone should be a newer model.

But if your smartphone does have it and you have been looking for headphones that support this technology as well, it’s the right time to get acquainted with the upgrades coming our way from the 5.0 version.

First, Bluetooth 5.0 uses a low energy form of transfer. This reduces the battery consumption. In fact, this is one of the main factors helping the iTeknic IT-BH001 provide 24 hours playtime.

Second, Bluetooth 5.0 allows you to play audio on two devices at the same time. So you can play audio on different speakers – a feature that will come in handy during parties.

Third, it’s senseless to say that this version has an improved connection quality. Plus, the data transfer rate is higher and the connectivity distance has been increased from 200 feet to 800 feet. Thus, compared with Bluetooth 4.2, it’s increased by 4 times.

Finally, Bluetooth 5.0 is fully backwards compatible with previous versions of Bluetooth. Therefore, your Bluetooth 5.0 headphones can connect with all Bluetooth speakers, smartphones, and any other devices.

Conclusion and Price

When testing the iTeknic IT-BH001 Bluetooth Headphones, we were looking at what other people say. Honestly, we were impressed with the quality and new features it comes with. Of course, its selling points are the long-lasting battery life and Bluetooth 5.0 technology. But it didn’t fall behind when it came to other features and appearance as well. So when comparing our impressions with the others’, we found a comment saying it looks like the Sound Peats Q30. But the truth is there are tons of headphones with a ‘wings’ design, and it’s naïve to say they look like this or that product. What is more important, the mentioned model and many other models on the market cost identical or more but don’t support Bluetooth 5.0 and provide a playtime of 6-7 hours maximum only.

As for the iTeknic IT-BH001, it costs £19.99. But you can use this exclusive coupon (code: EARFONE20OFF) and get your hands on it for a 20% discounted price tag.

Review of the Iteknic Ik-BH001 Bluetooth Earbuds

*This article was published on turbofuture.com by Walter Shillington originally.

Thanks to recent improvements in battery life and Bluetooth technology, wireless earbuds and headsets have become a viable option to their older, directly connected siblings.

Last week I acquired and tested a headset and two pair of earbuds. These devices performed well although each one comes with its own set of strengths and weaknesses.

Today’s article features iTeknic’s new IK-BH001 earbuds. It begins the review process with one significant advantage. At $25.99, this device is far less expensive than either of its competitors.

Description

The iTeknic earbuds are lightweight, weighing in at 17 grams (0.62 ounces). The device’s earpieces are composed of shiny black plastic, joined together by a 56-centimeter (22 inches) length of flat, rubber coated wire.

An oblong-shaped controller dangles eight centimeters below the right earpiece. It contains a microphone, three pushbuttons; an LED to indicate Bluetooth connectivity and another light used in conjunction with battery charging. A cover on the controller’s edge, once prodded aside, reveals the mini USB charging connection. Two rechargeable lithium batteries provide 150mAH of power.

The center button turns the unit on or off and initiates pairing. The other buttons are used to control the volume of the device or, in some cases, for song selection.

Iteknic’s IK-BH001 is designed for use with Bluetooth 5.0 but is compatible with earlier versions. This device is rated IPX4 and is equipped with Digital Signal Processing Technology.

Accessories include a user guide, travel pouch, three sets of rubber ear domes, three sets of rubber in-ear hooks, and a cable used for charging.

  8. Battery life: 24 hours
  9. Charging time: Two hours
  10. Microphone: Realtek (Clear call quality)

Bluetooth

Iteknic’s earbuds are Bluetooth 5.0 capable and compatible with earlier versions. This device paired to both my computer and MP3 player quickly and without complications. Due to the inclusion of a microphone, the headset can also be used with a smartphone.

The theoretical maximum distance for Bluetooth 5.0 is 240 meters (800 feet). During my tests, however, both my computer and MP3 player were equipped with Bluetooth 4.1 transmitters which, unfortunately, have one quarter the range and half the speed of the newest version.

While listening to music transmitted from my computer, the earbuds worked perfectly until I entered my kitchen. Then, as I neared the far end of the room, the reception would sometimes falter. This was due to my computer’s older Bluetooth version and signal degradation caused by the pair of outside walls that separated these devices.

When I paired the headset to my MP3 player, the reception was perfect throughout the entire house. In this case, the MP3 player was lying on my desk. Because this desk is situated alongside a window, the signal to the kitchen was obstructed by only one outside wall.

Digital Signal Processing

The IK-BH001 is equipped with Digital Signal Processing Technology. DSP improves sound quality by tweaking the original signal in several different ways. DSP generates wider frequency output, filters out reverberation, and includes both automatic gain control and dynamic adjustment.

Because this system cannot be turned off, I was unable to devise a method of evaluating its performance by comparison. Note, however, that sound quality was very good.

Durability

Both the IK-BH001’s earpieces and its controller are equipped with rubber strain relief connectors which help to protect delicate wire connections.

These earbuds are rated IPX4. While you cannot go swimming with this device, the IK-BH001 is resistant to splashing water from any direction.

Test Results

I wore the headset while playing games, listening to music and watching Netflix. It can also be utilized with a Bluetooth capable smartphone.

Sound quality was good, and I was especially impressed by the bass response.

While I prefer well-fitting earbuds because of their light weight, this headset from iTeknic is very comfortable. Once I became immersed within the movie I was watching, I tended to forget I was wearing the device.

During a four-day test period, with volume level set to 75%, this headset performed effectively for over 24 hours before requiring a recharge. This represents excellent battery life.

The IK-BH002’s active noise canceling system is the most effective I have tested and, because the foam cushions wholly covered my ears, passive noise reduction is also good.

Fit and finish are excellent. I found no problems related to quality control.

Test Results

I wore these earbuds while playing games, listening to music and watching Netflix. The device can also be paired with a Bluetooth capable smartphone.

Sound quality was good although the iTeknic’s headset, with its far larger speaker drivers, did provide more impressive bass. Size does matter.

I usually have a difficult time with earbud earpieces. They seldom fit correctly and are either painful to wear or tend to slip out at the most inconvenient of times. I was impressed with this offering from iTeknic because they fit comfortably and, even when I danced around the room like a madman, the earpieces remained in place.

During a four-day test period, with volume level set to 75%, this headset performed effectively for 23.5 hours before announcing a low battery warning. I was extremely pleased with this result.

Fit and finish are excellent. I found no problems related to quality control.

Overall Impression

I feel that this device’s sound reproduction is quite good. The IK-BH001’s earpieces fit snugly and comfortably, and battery life proved to be outstanding. If you are in the market for a modestly priced set of earbuds, iTeknic’s IK-B001 would be an excellent choice. The manufacturer has supplied coupon code KUC95ULD.

How is the Iteknic Active Noise Canceling Headphones

*This article was published on turbofuture.com by Walter Shillington originally.

My naval career began as a radio operator onboard the Annapolis, a frigate based off the east coast. At that time short messages could be sent to the ship’s staff by their relatives. These were delivered by an almost extinct form of communication called Morse code.

As the youngest and most green radio operator onboard, my task was to man a headset connected to a bulky RACAL receiver and transcribe these messages.

It wasn’t fun. I sat in an uncomfortable chair, drinking stale coffee saturated with sugar and mixed with curdled Carnation milk. The air stank of stale cigarettes and the Annapolis’s unreliable stabilizers ensured a bout of seasickness was only one nauseating lurch away.

Because of the distance involved, Morse signals were often quite weak, forcing me to turn the receiver’s volume to max. The pops, crackles, and explosions of noise, common to high-frequency reception constantly assaulted my eardrums.

The headset consisted of a pair of tinny speakers encased within puck-like Bakelite cases. Depending on the strength of the curved metal strap connecting the speakers, they either constantly slid from my ears or pinched like crazy.

That was in 1976. Over the last 43 years, headsets have improved dramatically and my review subject, the iTeknic IK-BH002, incorporates many of these advances. It is infinitely more comfortable, connects via Bluetooth, includes a built-in microphone, and comes equipped with active noise canceling. I could have used one of these in the early days of my naval career.

Description

The iTeknic IK-BH002 weighs in at 535 grams (1.18 pounds) and, due to the inclusion of ear cushions designed to cover the entire ear, it is both larger and more noise resistant than the Bluedio headset I have previously used.

Its speaker cups can swivel and pivot, providing a comfortable fit, and both right and left arms adjust to conform to the size of the wearer’s head. These arms can also be folded, allowing the headset to fit inside a small carrying case.

The right speaker cup is equipped with a volume control, an on/off/pairing button, microphone, 3.5-millimeter input, and a switch which activates the active noise canceling feature. There is also an LED used to signal Bluetooth connectivity and one which indicates activation of noise cancelling. A mini USB input, fitted to the left speaker cup, is used for charging the device.

The microphone is of the cVc 6 (clear Voice capture) variety. Noise reduction algorithms reduce ambient sound and enhance the voice of the caller.

This headset is equipped with a 500mAH lithium rechargeable battery. According to the manufacturer, playtime runs between 15 and 20 hours. The battery can be fully charged within one hour via its USB connector.

Along with the headset, the box contains a 3.5-millimeter auxiliary cable, guide, and a rather nice carrying case.

Bluetooth

This headset is Bluetooth 5.0 capable but can be used with earlier versions. It paired to both my computer and MP3 player quickly and without complications.

While listening to music transmitted from my computer, the headset worked perfectly until I entered my kitchen. Then, as I neared the far end of the room intending to brew a coffee, the reception began to break up. This was due to my computer’s older Bluetooth version and signal degradation caused by the pair of outside walls that separated the devices.

When I paired the headset to my MP3 player, reception improved. In this case, the MP3 player was lying on my desk. Because this desk is situated alongside a window, the signal was obstructed by only one outside wall.

Noise Canceling

There are two types of noise canceling systems utilized in conjunction with headsets. Passive noise reduction involves the use of materials in the ear cushions that deaden the outside world. This technique is useful; however, the most effective packing materials are very dense, adding extra weight to the device.

While every headset provides some form of passive noise reduction, the iTeknic IK-BH002 also makes use of Active Noise Canceling. When activated, the headset’s microphone monitors outside noises. Then the IK-BH002 creates sound waves that mimic the incoming noise in every respect except one: the headphone’s output is 180 degrees out of phase with the intruding waves. Active noise-canceling headphones provide a noise reduction of approximately 20 decibels, effectively blocking about 70 percent of ambient noise. These headphones are ideal for airline and train travel or any other location with a high level of background noise.

It works great for air flow, fans, and engine noise because these sounds are constant. If the intrusion is sudden or varying, however, compensation will not prove adequate. When I activated the IK-BH002’s ANC system, it negated the sound of my fridge’s compressor as well as that of my furnace’s blower and the fan in my office. When I ran my dryer, I could not hear the motor, but there was a faint clicking as wet clothing bounced against the inside of the appliance. In this instance the device’s passive noise reduction also proved useful. Then my nosey neighbor dropped over, anxious to gossip about the couple across the street. Sadly, the headset’s noise-canceling system could only slightly muffle her voice.

While active noise canceling cannot handle every type of unwanted sound, the system used in iTeknic’s headset worked surprisingly well. This feature can be used either while listening to music via Bluetooth or independently when you want to block out the world.

Overall Impression

I feel that this headset’s sound reproduction—especially bass—was quite good. The IK-BH002 is comfortable and enjoys excellent battery life. If you are in the market for a moderately priced headset featuring active noise canceling, iTeknic’s IK-B002 should be on your shortlist. The manufacturer has provided the discount code U2B97NA6.

Best Budget Bluetooth Earphones with Longest Playtime in 2019

In 2019, most people are listening to music or a podcast at some point during the day, earphones have become one of our daily necessities. So, what kind of earphones do you prefer?

Some people opt for those big ear-covered Bluetooth headsets. However, the shape of the Bluetooth headset deems them not suitable for people wearing glasses, it either hurts the ears, or the beats may leak with your glasses in the way. Most importantly, the headphones can ruin your hairstyle, which is a big NO for most of us. Lastly many of us just find them too inconvenient especially when working out or exercising.

On the other hand, for the pros of convenience and affordability, Bluetooth earbuds seem to be the best choice for most of us.

We just like how light-weight and easy-to-carry they are, and the fact that the voice quality and Bluetooth call function is not any weaker than big, heavy headsets, Bluetooth earbuds gets our vote.

But there is still a lot of room for improvement with Bluetooth earbuds. Let’s take a second and have a think, what do you value most about Bluetooth earbuds?

Sports-friendly and sweat resistant? A sharp and stylish appearance to match your style better? A friendly price and good value? Or a reliable battery performance?

Well, it seems now we have found you a perfect combination of everything you would want with Bluetooth earbuds.

Anyone who has tested a pair of iTeknic BH001 Bluetooth earbuds was left impressed by their decent battery-performance, discreet and comfortable fit, as well as how suitable they are for active wear.

So, what can iTeknic BH001 Bluetooth earbuds offer to you?

1.Save you trouble from short battery-life earphones, no more music black-out

We all know how annoying it is after you get geared up for the gym, successfully managed to get up from your coach and ready for a big running session to get some cardio done, only to find out that your Bluetooth headphones are out of battery again, which means no music accompanying your workout journey.

Go running anyway? But music really does amplify workout performance and running without music does feel a bit boring.

Is there any Bluetooth earbuds that have a better battery-performance?

Well, at the beginning of 2019, there is finally a solution for longer battery-performance of Bluetooth earbuds.

By adapting the very latest low power-consumption Bluetooth chips, which is new state of the art technology, the power consumption is less than 6MA. The iteknic BH001 can hold a decent playtime of 24 hours per charge, while most other Bluetooth earbuds can only last for 6-10 Hrs, the BH001 earbuds have the longest battery-performance on the market at present.

Besides, iteknic also increase the battery capacity to 150Mah. 150Mah does not sound as big a battery capacity, but considering the battery capacity of the similar earbuds from some of the big brands is much less than 150Mah, such as Anker SoundBuds Slim Bluetooth Headphones carry only 110Mah battery capacity, and some of the big brands’ similar products carry only 90Mah batter capacity, the 150Mah is a decent battery capacity for a pair of Bluetooth earbuds.

Just think about how much trouble the BH001 would save you from, no more constantly charging your earphones all the time due to their poor power-performance. And with up to 24 hours playback per charge, listening to music during a long-haul flight would not be a problem, long-distance hiking and camping could also be accompanied by your favorite music.

2.Functioned & modern appearance, match your style in a functional way

Besides carrying up to 24 hours playback per charge, the iTeknic Bluetooth earbuds also combines style, compact design, a built-in magnetic design, which prevents earbuds from dangling. So no more annoying dangling and twisted earphones, perfect to help ensure you don’t lose them either.

BH001 comes with an ergonomic design tested against a variety of ears ensuring that everyone can have unhindered access to superior sound. iTeknic also supplies complimentary customizable accessories for ensuring adaptable comfort and durability for you.

Looking sharp while wearing earbuds comfortably, sorted.

3.Faster & Longer-distance Bluetooth 5.0, no more old-dated transmission

So let’s explain how Bluetooth 5.0 works better than Bluetooth 4.2 in an easy way:

Basically, compared to the previous generation of Bluetooth 4.2, Bluetooth 5.0 has a longer transmission distance and a faster speed.

The effective distance of Bluetooth 5.0 is 300 meters, which means that the mobile devices of your entire family or the entire office can be stably connected. So you never drop a call, lose connection, or miss a moment when you have BH001.

The fastest speed is 2Mbps, which makes Bluetooth devices with faster response and higher performance.

In addition, it also greatly enhances the data transmission of Bluetooth broadcasts, which can bring better Bluetooth calling quality, and with featured CVC6.0 noise reduction technology, the quality of Bluetooth calling is guaranteed here with BH001.

4.Gives you a perfect work-out companion, less pain, more gain

We might of just found you a perfect work-out companion.

5.Friendly to your wallet & Best value for its price

These are rarely impulse buys for Bluetooth earphones, since they can cost a few hundred dollars and, like anything else, we want them to last.

Now on the market, while the high-end earphones can be more than few hundred dollars, the quality does not always match the price.

The iTkenic Bluetooth earbuds sell at a very reasonable price of $29.99 while the quality is guaranteed with a very competitive playtime.

iTeknic aims to supply the users the best-valued Bluetooth earphones without compromise of the quality and durability. And for welcoming new users, they are offering a deal for a decent price of $25.99 for a limited time.
